  72. PcDesk is a DOS program that lets you organize your time, maintain a
  73. data base of names, addresses and phone numbers, and edit ASCII text
  74. files. A DOS file manager is also included. Mouse support makes the
  75. program very interactive.

  77. The CALENDAR feature includes a monthly memo calendar, a weekly planner
  78. and a yearly calendar. Memo and planner notes are automatically stored
  79. on disk, and retrieved whenever that month, or the weekly planner, is
  80. displayed. An analog clock showing the current time is included.

  82. The ADDRESS BOOK feature allows you to maintain a data base of names,
  83. addresses and phone numbers. The EDITOR feature also lets you view or
  84. edit ASCII text documents. The FILE MANAGER feature gives you access to
  85. a number of standard and enhanced DOS operations, including a file
  86. search capability. Complete on-line instructions are provided in the

  105. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTE TO HARD DRIVE
  106.  
  107. To install from diskette, you need to perform the following steps.
  108.  
  109.    1) Place the PCDESK distribution diskette in the appropriate
  110.       diskette drive.
  111.  
  112.    2) Copy PCDESK.* from the distribution disk to a directory of your
  113.       choosing on your hard drive.
  114.  
  115.    3) Change to the directory where you installed the program and
  116.       type PCDESK at the DOS prompt to run the program.
  117.  
  118. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  119.  
  120. If you downloaded PCDESK from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  121. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  122. following steps.
  123.  
  124.    1) Extract the contents of the archive file in a diretcory of
  125.       your choosing on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  126.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  127.       If you don't have the tools and knowledge to perform this step,
  128.       you should be able to obtain directions from the same source
  129.       from which you received the package.

  131.    2) Type PCDESK at the DOS prompt to run the program.

  135. Select the INSTRUCTIONS option from the main menu to read through the
  136. help file PCDESK.DOC. Note that since your address and calendar files
  137. will be created in the default directory, you should always run the
  138. program from its home diretcory.
